HomeAid Atlanta’s First Annual Angel Tree
It is the holiday season, almost, which has always been considered a time for giving. HomeAid Atlanta, the non-profit organization of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, has created a fundraising event to help provide holiday gifts to local homeless families living in transitional housing facilities. However, they cannot conquer this task alone, and they need your help. It’s incredibly simple to donate to this exceptional cause, just visit the Housing Center in Tucker, select an angel from the tree, sign out your angel and then return your gift by December 15th. Or, to make the process even easier, you can have an angel from the tree emailed to you - just contact Jennifer Folkers at jen_homeaid@atlantahomebuilders.com. (Continued…)
North Cobb County is One of the Best Places to Sell a House
Forbes Magazine has released a list of the top 10 best suburbs to sell a house and Kennesaw, GA made it in at #4. This Forbes list is based on time-on-market, price trends and the percentage of sellers who cut prices. These numbers may not seem extremely positive in a normal market, but for today’s housing industry they are strong. Plus, while many sellers are decreasing the price of homes, they aren’t dropping the price as drastically as other metro Atlanta areas. For this reason, real estate agents that sell in Kennesaw are not surprised to see it in the top five of this list.
In this buyer’s market, home shoppers have the privilege of being extremely picky in their home search. (Continued…)

Reservation holders are placed on a priority list and will select their home sites on a first-come-first-served basis. We got a chance to pick the brain on two reservation holders as to get a better understanding of their interest in Kingston on Lake Oconee - David Arnold, president of The Partnership, a marketing firm in Atlanta, and reservation holder number three; and Louie Carter, president of Grayson Homes and reservation holder number 24.
